What are the differences between Blog and Microblogging?

According to Steve Rubel the flowing bellow bullet points show the differences between them….

  • Help you to learn how to express yourself (thoughts)
  • A repository of information for future visitors
  • Reflects my journey over the course of time
  • A way to learn from other people (reading other’s blogs)

  • Be update of the latest news in the industry
  • An opportunity to get to know people on a personal level
  • Exchange of info & ideas – email doesn’t span the group effect
  • Keep track of where my friends are at.

Have a look to the video. It will help you to understand more…blog vs microblogging

I guess the difference btw that two thing are :
Microblogging will defeat the hard work of blogging. It’s faster, easier, less time consuming, and has immediate rewards. 1 out of 3 bloggers would prefer twitter over their blogs if they could only have one of these services

I also think that microbloggin can be complimentary to blogs.
As an example in our class, many of us are using twitter in order to inform other students to visit our blog. If we use them both efficiently i think the use of blogs would continue to increase…..maybe even faster.
