How can you use web 2.0 tools to become a more productive person?

I am the person who always write down what have to do for each day. I used to have my diary with me every time so I knew my ‘to do list’ for everyday but since I start researching  and using  the web 2.0 tools I just don’t need my diary anymore. I believe web 2.0 tools (e.i, google calendar) help you to be more productive person because it keep you update with what is in your agenda. Moreover, it have an option to send you a text or email so you don’t forget what you need to do in a particular day.

Web 2.0 tools make your life easier which mean give you more time to achieve more thing in a day. I believe it help you with your time management. For instance, instead of having a meeting face to face you could use Skype and don’t need to waste time traveling.

If we use web 2.0 tool we could share our document (for example, using Google doc) and don’t have too much stress with some hardware 😛 …

Nice article. I agree with you because I think Web 2.0 is here to stay and it is some kind of evolution of the Web we used to see. However, I don’t think you should completely forget about your paper dairy. Unless you can be on-line all the time or have synchronized your mobile the 24 hours of the day, you’ll probably miss something on your daily to do list. I’m from “the old school” and believe that we should mix a little of old-fashion technology with new technology until this last one becomes more stable and accessible for everyone.

    Great post
I totally Agree that Web 2.0 dramatical impact on our lives specially when you mentioned “having a meeting face to face you could use Skype” not just meeting. Also many universities in these days are using Skype for “distance education”, so “you don’t need to waste time traveling” to attend. However, I thinks you should keep writing your diary in the “the old school”way because if you write anything in the internet or in your blog. After that you realize you want to change it, you Can!! but it’s still accessible for everyone to see the change before and after.

I really enjoyed reading this blog article!

In particular, your views about the potential of software like Skype are particularly interesting, since Government agencies are looking to utilise these means of communication to save money on the cost of travelling.

I’d be more interested to read about your views on Google Docs! You could possibly compare it to other software, such as Microsoft Office – highlighting the the advantages and disadvantages of each software suite…

Otherwise, keep up the good writing!

    Great Post.

I’ve been a Blackberry user for years now and the simple process of emails, calendars, todo accessible from anywhere allow me to be up to date with things. Recently I have added Twitter to my device which has provide me with another information stream ensuring I don’t miss anything.

I think the Web 2.0 & mobile device integration will play a big part in increased productivity personally and professionally.

    Hi Brent,

Agree with you when you says web 2.0 and mobile devices integration will play a bigpart in increased productivity personally and professionally.
Even though there are some challanges that web (in gerenal) have in mobiles devices such as:
    Typically small displays
    Disconnection
    Browser with very limit capabilities.
    Low brandwidth

I believe people want the mobile phone to become a device that offer richer means of communication and web 2.0 have a lot of way of communication….

Paola, I find your post very true. The way web 2.o has changed the way we live our lives today, it has made our life much easier, compared to what it was like years ago. People could also say that all this new technology these days makes us more lazy. However, I think its the way you use it in your everyday life. Very interesting blog post, keep up the work, looking forward to reading more. 🙂

Reading the article from the structure perspective instead of the content perspective I found it excellent. It doesn’t mean that the content isn’t excellent. It only means that the quality of the article is excellent.
